Octopus IP67 – IP67/54 switches from the OCTOPUS family allow fail-safe networks to be installed in a variety of different application scenarios even under the most difficult conditions and covering the full range of automation solutions, such as rail vehicles.

The new OCTOPUS Train-BP now provides a managed IP67 switch that is optimally tailored to the requirements of the rail industry. It fulfills all specific EMC and fire prevention requirements for rail vehicles, and also has two uplink ports with bypass relays. You can thus use the OCTOPUS Train-BP in Ethernet Consist networks (IEC draft standard 61375-3-4) to facilitate fast and secure onboard Ethernet data communication in trains.

Unmanaged: The unmanaged IP67/IP54 with or without PoE in the OCTOPUS family. PoE technology to networks operating in even the most challenging environments. Terminal devices on these networks can be powered directly via the Ethernet cable, doing away with the need for additional power supply units.

Managed: Managed switches guarantee the highest availability in demanding environments due to innovative redundancy solutions and network monitoring.
Versions with PoE support allow these devices to be powered via a data cable, meaning no additional power supplies are needed.
